Centennial Sweepstakes Winners Announced
CLEARWATER — After Jessica Hollingsworth entered the “Centennial Dinner On Us” sweepstakes a few weeks ago, she gave it no further mind. After all, it’s easy to lose track of such things when handling a family-owned real estate business.
That all changed when Tom Nocera and Joe Corvino of Friends of Clearwater informed Hollingsworth that her name was randomly chosen for a $100 gift card to any of the Baystar restaurants in the region.
“That card is going toward dinner for my family,” Hollingsworth said. A 16-year resident of Clearwater, Hollingsworth is the niece of the late legendary comedian Jack Benny.
A $50 gift card for the Palm Pavilion in Clearwater was also won by Justice Barrington of Jacksonville while a $25 Starbucks card went to Clearwater’s Bob Cundiff. Friends of Clearwater, a non-profit group composed of civic-minded citizens, sponsored the sweepstakes in recognition of the city’s ongoing centennial celebration.
“Friends of Clearwater is sponsoring additional sweepstakes in 2015 to bring further attention to our city’s 100-year legacy as a great place to live, work and play,” said Nocera. “In fact, our second ‘Centennial Dinner on Us’ sweepstakes is now open. Three lucky winners will again be chosen at random from all entries and notified on July 14.”
Up for grabs in the new sweepstakes is a $100 gift card to Cooters Restaurant and Bar on Clearwater Beach, a $50 gift card to any of the Frenchy’s restaurants five locations in the Clearwater area and a $25 gift card to Gala’s Gelateria and More in downtown Clearwater.
